Mariposa Birdcage

I love DCWV Mariposa paper!  I have it in 4x6, 8x8 and 12x12!!  There is lots of shiny glitter on this paper which is hard to see in this scan.  The background is one sheet of busy paper!  Makes for a fast card.  All I added is the bird, cage, pearl brad and I cut out a bloom from the paper to add to the top of the birdcage.  Easy!  7.5 x 5 inches.  Thanks for stopping by!
  • Stamps: none!
  • Ink: Color Box cat's eye Lava Black (for edges)
  • Paper: DCWV Mariposa, Black, SU! Real Red for base
  • Other: Tim Holtz Birdcage die, pearl brad, black jewel for birds eye

Miriam, I like this Webster's Pages-style card so much! I have that Mariposa stack too (though only in 12 x 12), but haven't even cracked it open yet. (I'm a paper hoarder but that's a whole different story!) Good job using it so effectively here! Thank you for your comment today on my Touch of Vintage card at my blog. And yes, those hydrangeas at the top of my blog page are from my yard....aren't they beautiful? One of my favorite plants in my yard (the other plant is another hydrangea!). Have a great day!

Oh, and is that YOUR garden at the top of your blog?? Beautiful! Nicer than mine, I can tell you that. :)
