Fall is here and the pumpkins are out!  I love this pumpkin border by Serendipity Stamps.  Colored with Copics and framed with swirls, it reminds me of a pumpkin patch!  I'll be stamping with friends and enjoying college football on this lovely fall day.  I hope you have fun plans too!

FTTC#168 Pink!

This week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge is to use PINK!
Easy for me because I love that color.  I think this card has enough pink to qualify!  You wouldn't think so but this image is from Flourishes Bee My Honey set.  There are two bees on the flowers.....
Colored with Copics and matted with a few large scalloped circles, this image really pops because I went with strong colors.  Pastels just aren't my thing.
  • Stamps: Flourishes - Bee My Honey
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Versafine - Onyx Black for sentiment
  • Paper: SEI - Sunny Days 12 x 12 pad, Neenah Solar White, pink and green cardstock
  • Dies: Spellbinders - Large Scalloped Circles, Classic Circles; Cheery Lynn - Fanciful Flourish
  • Other: Perfect Layers, Copic Markers, Micron pen, SU! Scalloped border punch & corner rounder

SEI Butterfly

When I found this SEI paper I just knew I had to pair it up with this butterfly die by Marianne Design.  The blue backing of the butterfly was hand cut.  I just traced the die and cut it out.  A few pearls and a sentiment finish it off.
  • Stamps: Flourishes - Orchids sentiment
  • Ink: Versafine Satin Red
  • Paper:  SEI Corinne 6x6, SU! Poppy, white cardstock
  • Other: Marianne Designs Butterfly die, Spellbinders labels 18 & 20, SU! Soft Sky ribbon, Michaels pearls

Snapdragons - Stacy Stamps

A few months ago I took a class from Stacy of Stacy Stamps at a local stamp store.  She has beautiful nature images and I especially love her flowers.  I stamped and colored my image first then placed a smaller square piece of cardstock over the image and traced around it  with a pencil.  I cut it out by hand and around the blooms.  Some matting and rhinestones and I'm done.
  • Stamps: Stacy Stamps - Snapdragon 3102AA (pg 30 of the catalog)
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper:  SEI - Sunny Day 6x6, Neenah Solar White, PTI black cardstock
  • Other: Copics, rhinestones

Lenten Rose Seeds

Another Flourishes card for you!  This time I used two sets, Lenten Rose and Seeds of Friendship. I'm not sure if you can buy Lenten Rose seeds but I like the way the seed packet and flowers looked together.  I did my usual Copic coloring and embellishing and actually stitched the border on a sewing machine!!  I thought it looked right with the stitched ribbon.  This card is on display at Impressive Ideas in Roswell, GA.

  • Stamps: Flourishes - Lenten Rose and Seeds of Friendship
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black
  • Paper: Neenah Natural White, Kraft and black cardstock, SEI 6x6 Coutour

Easter is coming....

I've been making Easter cards lately and this adorable image is from Northwoods Stamps.  I paired him up with some spring-y SEI paper to make this square card.  Spellbinders has a new release of dies out and I got Fancy Tags 2.  The red side swirls were cut with a Fancy Tag and glued behind the kraft layer.  I embellished a little with a black gem for his eye, Glossy Accents on the butterfly and Viva Decor Light Blue Pearl Pen for the flower centers.  Finished size is 5 3/8 square.

Sprinkles Valentine

It had to be MEW!  Sprinkles is the reappearing cat from The Cat's Pajamas.  He celebrates all the holidays and here he is with his Valentine heart and top hat.  I paper pieced those with some SEI paper and added some rhinestones to his collar. The background is pink paper stamped with hearts in Versamark, brushed with pink chalk then airbrushed with Copic R21 with the die still on (to create the pink border).
