Serendipity Blog Hop!

We have some great new dies from Serendipity Stamps for our BLOG HOP to show you today.
I used "Baby", "Thanks" and the Floral Frame for my cards.

My first card has the new BABY word die.
I cut it twice and glued the white one on top of the brown one to shadow it.
I think Baby cards are some of the most fun to make because the papers are so cute with great color schemes.

Inside I kept it simple with a Congratulations! stamp.
Finished size of this card is 6 3/4 x 5.

This card started out all green and black but I liked it better with a different colored butterfly.  So, I inked the thistle and butterfly separately with Distress Ink Pads.

Here is a close-up of the word die.  They cut really clean and pop right out of the die!
Finished size for this card is 6 x 4 7/8.

Isn't this a great frame?!  The floral design matches the butterflies!
I popped it with tiny pieces of black foam tape.

I backed the floral butterflies in white and put foam tape on those too.

Inside I stamped the classic Happy Birthday and put a die cut of the small butterfly in grey.
Finished size is 5 1/8 x 5 1/8.

There is a $20 Gift Code for one randomly chosen person who comments on ALL the blogs.
So, please visit everyone and comment.  You have until Midnight Sunday to comment.
The winner will be posted on Mary's blog on Monday, May 19.

Paper Smooches Challenge

Happy Saturday everyone!  I thought I'd show you this happy card for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge - Anything Goes.

I used an Elizabeth Crafts die to create each panel and glued them together.  The yellow frames are also Elizabeth Crafts dies.

These cute animals are from Paper Smooches Chubby Chums set.  Aren't they adorable?  I put them on Wobblers so they move.

Believe it or not this card folds up flat!  I will be making more of these fun tri-fold cards. Finished size is 4 3/4 x 4 3/4.

IO Floral Lace Valentine

I love my floral lace heart die made by Impression Obsession and with Valentines Day coming up I just had to make another card with it.  Plus IO is having a Love/Heart challenge!
The challenge ends on the 28th so it is not too late to enter.

Here is a closeup of the corner showing the dimension of the heart and the LOVE sentiment is cut directly from the DSP.  The paper is not double sided so I just used the plain side for the heart.  I used some white pigment ink around the sentiment, layers and the heart.
I hope you are having fun making Valentines. I am!
  • Stamps: None!
  • Paper: Jillibean Soup - Heart Healthy Red Bean Soup 12 x 12, misc red card stock
  • Ink: Color Box - Cat's Eye - Frost White
  • Die: Impression Obsession - Floral Lace Heart

Serendipity - Shaped Card!

Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog has a different kind of challenge this week! Just make a 'shaped' card other than a traditional rectangle or square.  I chose to do a scalloped circle card to go along with the fancy holly wreath stamp.

A Gold Viva Pearl pen highlights the bow and berries for shimmer and shine.

Inside I stamped a portion of the wreath and Merry Christmas.  The wreath is colored with the Copics listed below.
The finished size is 4 3/4 round.

Serendipity's Sale to go along with the challenge is
Buy 3, Get a 4th free.  Good 12/4 through 12/11.

Check out what the rest of the Design Team created:

Mini Blueprints - Sewing

I have more of Tim Holtz's Mini Blueprints to share with you today!  Sewing is the theme and all the cards are 4.25" square.  The cute sewing machine is paper pieced with some fun green paper.
Jillibean Soup's Grandma's Lima Bean Soup is a cute paper line with a sewing theme.  I used some of their 12 x 12 papers on these cards.

This cute little spool is wrapped in waxed yellow thread and a real needle is stuck diagonally through it.  There is foam tape behind it for dimension.

I love this little dress form and am tempted to buy the full size set of these!  It is great that these Blueprint stamps are made in large and small sizes to suit all of us!  More are coming in Fall and Holiday themes.  I can't wait!
  • Stamps: Tim Holtz - Stamper Anonymous: Mini Blueprints 3, Simple Sayings
  • Ink: Versafine - Onyx Black, Cat's Eye - Chestnut Roan chalk ink
  • Paper: Jillibean Soup - Grandma's Lima Bean Soup collection - 12x12, cardstock
