Happy Thanksgiving Leaves

Just a quick post today to say Happy Thanksgiving and show you an Autumn themed card I made with some new Stampendous Stamps.

When I saw this stamp set at CHA this summer I knew I had to have it.  They come with matching dies!

I embossed the leaves with copper embossing powder and used the matching dies to cut them out. No fussy-cutting here!

This card is on display at Impressive Ideas in Roswell, GA.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I kept the inside simple by just stamping the sentiment and layering the paper.
Finished size is an A2.

This week’s sale is Free Shipping on any US order of $15 or more.
 Offer good through Nov 26.

Check out what the rest of the Design Team created!

Serendipity - Winter II Blog Hop!

Welcome to Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop
featuring their new WINTER stamps and dies!

I used the cute new Poinsettia Background Cling stamp and the CELEBRATE die for my card.  I colored the flowers and leaves with Copic markers. In the photo the flowers look a little orange but they really do match the red Celebrate IRL.

Here is a close up of the sentiment (before I added the bow).  I die cut it twice with heavy card stock and glued them together.  I used foam tape to make it really pop.

Inside I stamped a portion of the background
stamp in the corner and colored it.

Here is the card before I added the bow.  I think I like it better with the bow!
I just LOVE this Maya Road twine cording!!  It is really thick compared to the regular twine we all buy.  It comes in 100 yard rolls so I split one with a friend.

Serendipity - Thankful SSCB #37

With the new month we are starting a Thankful/Grateful challenge for you from the
Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog.
To participate just use any of Serendipity's Thankful/Grateful images or dies in your creation for a chance to win!

An additional challenge this time for the Design Team is to use a die or image with a personal story behind it.

I love this Wheat Sheaf image and it reminds me of the state of Kansas, where my parents grew up.  I have visited their home town many times in my life and fondly remember driving by the wheat fields.  Kansas looked nothing like California and Atlanta, where I grew up.

Here is a closeup of the bow and sentiment die.  I die cut it twice in brown card stock and red patterned paper for the shadow.  The "K" has a long loopy end on it and I trimmed most of it off so it would fit better on my card.

This card is a big one!  It measures 8 1/4 x 4 1/2.

Just in case you need anything, this week’s sale is 20% off anything in the THANKSGIVING and AUTUMN categories.   Offer good through Nov 12.

I did a little highlighting with my Copics and
added some patterned paper and twine.

I cut the die with red paper and then cut off the bird and glued him over the cream bird.

They measure 4 1/4 x 4 1/4.

Have a great day!

Serendipity Stamps - Fall SSCB #36

We are continuing with the FALL challenge for you from the
For the whole month the theme is Fall.  To participate just use any of Serendipity's fall images or dies in your creation for a chance to win!

Just in case you need anything, this week’s sale is “Buy 3, Get the 4th Free”.
Offer good through Oct 22nd.

An additional challenge this time for the Design Team is to do a Halloween themed project. So, I have 3 Halloween cards to show you.

I just love these little trick-or-treaters!  When I was a kid we dressed up in simple costumes like these.  I wore the Witch costume my Grama made for many years and so did my sisters.  And of course I was Casper the Friendly Ghost one year.

I cut the BOO die twice in black and orange and glued them together.  I put a little Viva Crystal Clear on the moon for shine and some Wink of Stella Black Glitter pen here and there for shimmer.

Inside I stamped this sentiment with the mixed font and
added a bat and cat.

Finished size is 5 1/2 x 4 7/8.

My next card is a mini at just 3 1/2" square!  I colored the scene with a very different color sky for a change.  There is lots of shimmer from my Wink of Stella clear pen but the photo doesn't show it.

For this card I die cut the owl with FUN FOAM!  He is really THICK!
Finished size is an A-2.

Check out what the rest of the Design Team created!

Serendipity - Winter Blog Hop!

Welcome to Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop
featuring their new WINTER stamps and dies!

I used the cute new Sledding Snowman and the SNOW die for my card.
This can be just a winter card or a Christmas card.

I colored him with Copic markers and I custom made a color.  BG70 and BG72 are too far apart in color saturation so I created a BG71 with an empty marker and BG72 ink and the blender fluid.  It is right in between 70 and 72.

The snow and buttons are highlighted with a VIVA Pearl Pen for shine.

Inside my card I used the new Dashing through the Snow stamp
and colored in the word SNOW with a Copic.

If you are doing the HOP, you should have arrived here from
