MERRY card

Lately I've been playing with Carta Bella's Christmas Delivery papers.
For my background, I put their cute washi tape diagonally on a
piece of white card stock.  Then, I die cut it with a stitched rectangle
die.  Looks like paper doesn't it?

Inside I layered more paper and added a die cut.
Finished size is an A-2.

Have a great week!
  • Paper: Carta Bella - Christmas Delivery 12x12, Neenah Solar White 110lb, Bazzill Heavyweight - Waxed Lips
  • Dies: Reverse Confetti - Winter Words, Lawn Fawn - Stitched Rectangles

Marybeth Lopez

I have 2 cards to show you today for the HOP.  On the first card I made a background
with the Quilting technique with the new Luke 2 paper from Photoplay.
I die cut the word CELEBRATE from a white panel
and popped it with fun foam on my quilted background.
The finished size is an A-2.

My 2nd card is of the cute Snowperson & Wreath stamp.  I matched it up with
this cute paper from MFT and used pink as my main color.

The closeup shows a little Glossy Accents on the eyes and
nose of the snow person.

Finished size is A-2.

Luke 2 Christmas & Mojo Monday 470

Photoplay Papers has a new line of Christmas papers called Luke 2.
It has non-traditional colors that I just love.  I liked the the Mojo Monday
sketch this week so I have entered this first card in the challenge.

The finished card is 4 1/2 x 5 3/4.

I did the crazy quilt technique on the background for this one and the star
is a matte sticker from the collection.  A Tim Holtz pinecone charm
hangs from the bow and I used his large pine punch in the corner.

This one is 4 1/4 square.
I've also made a boxed set of cards with Luke 2 and
I'll blog on it later.

  • Paper: Photoplay - LUKE 2 12x12 Collection & Sticker Sheet, Neenah Solar White
  • Dies: Photoplay - LUKE 2 Star dies, Lawn Fawn - Stitched Rectangles and Squares, MFT Stitched Circles
  • Tim Holtz - Large Pine Punch, Pinecone Charms
  • Other: Bo Bunny - Sugar Glitter Paste, Wink of Stella - Clear Pen, Little B - Silver Glitter Washi Tape

Crazy Dog Cards

I've watercolored some cards with Tim Holtz's cute Crazy Dogs!

I used Prismacolor's Watercolor Pencils on Ranger's watercolor paper.
I added some Glossy Accents to the eyes and dog tag for some shine.
Fido looks a little surprised
so I added the sentiment, "You're how old?"

And a little bone on the inside.

The look on the bulldogs face is priceless!  I used Art Impressions
little grass stamps all around him and....

an appropriate message on the inside!

This little hound is perfect for a small tag.  Again on watercolor paper.
Now there are dies for all these pups.  Try them out!

  • Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous: Crazy Dogs, Crazy Words
  • Paper: Ranger's Watercolor, Neenah Solar White 110lb, misc patterned paper
  • Dies: Lawn Fawn - Stitched Squares and Rectangles, MFT tag, Pierced Rectangles & Stitched Square Frames
  • Color: Versafine - Onyx Black, Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils, Distress Peeled Paint

Almost a year ago a friend gave me the birthday card shown
at the bottom of this post.
It sparked a movement to get some similar small animal dies made.
Enter Mary Dew Lee at Serendipity Stamps!

We asked her to have some little critter dies made and
my card is a result of that request.

The new Little Critters dies can be used for so many occasions!
The finished size is 3 1/2" square.

The original card!  4 3/4 x 4 3/4 square.

Serendipity Stamps - September Blog HOP!

If you are hopping along with us you should
have arrived here from the talented:

I hope this card would cheer someone up!  I love the way this die
cuts the leaves in different sizes and at an angle.

I cut the die into the white paper then cut it in several colors.
I put adhesive on the paper behind the leaves so I just had to
stick them down in the open shapes. No glue needed!

The finished size is 4 5/8 square.

This HOPs Prize is a $20 gift certificate to one commenter randomly selected from all the blogs.    You can leave comments through September 25.
The winner will be announced on Mary's blog on September 26.

The sale this week is Buy 3, Get a 4th Item free!  No coupon code required.
The lowest priced item is free and the sale good through September 25.
