SSCB #43 My Girl

We have a new challenge over at the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog!
It's MY GIRL.  Your project can have anything girly or a girly theme to it!  The added challenge for the Design Team is to use part of a die cut.  I used the lattice from the Daisy Garden die at the top of my card.

I just love these little dresses on the clothes line! They remind me of the dresses my Grandmother made for my sisters and I when we were little.  She was such a talented seamstress.

I thought they would be cute paper pieced to look like prairie dresses in gingham.

Here is a closeup of the corner of the card so you
can see the detail of the dresses and grass.

I stamped the dresses again in Antique Linen ink so a
sentiment or writing could be put over them.
The remainder of the die is at the bottom for a cute floral look.

Finished size is 5" x 4 5/8".

Feel like shopping?  We're trying something new - a  "stamp of the month".  This time it's Aprons.  You can purchase the stamp of the month all through MAY for 50% off.  You can see it here.  Below is a card I made a long time ago with the sale stamp.

I always admire a paper pieced image. That fussy cutting is so much work - this is wonderful!!
