Serendipity - Thankful SSCB #37

With the new month we are starting a Thankful/Grateful challenge for you from the
Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog.
To participate just use any of Serendipity's Thankful/Grateful images or dies in your creation for a chance to win!

An additional challenge this time for the Design Team is to use a die or image with a personal story behind it.

I love this Wheat Sheaf image and it reminds me of the state of Kansas, where my parents grew up.  I have visited their home town many times in my life and fondly remember driving by the wheat fields.  Kansas looked nothing like California and Atlanta, where I grew up.

Here is a closeup of the bow and sentiment die.  I die cut it twice in brown card stock and red patterned paper for the shadow.  The "K" has a long loopy end on it and I trimmed most of it off so it would fit better on my card.

This card is a big one!  It measures 8 1/4 x 4 1/2.

Just in case you need anything, this week’s sale is 20% off anything in the THANKSGIVING and AUTUMN categories.   Offer good through Nov 12.

Check out what the rest of the Design Team created!

Beautiful card Miriam! I live just a few miles from the Kansas state line and Kansas has some of the most stunning landscapes, sunsets, and vistas a person could hope to see!

The wheat is colored beautifully and so clever to alter the die to fit your card. Beautiful as always Miriam!

Hi Miriam, I love that wheat stamp as well. Beautiful card for a wonderful memory. I like the taller card too!

You are absolutely right about the wheat. I was born and raised in Kansas, but now in Missouri. It's a beautiful sight to see on a breezy autumn day. Your card is just BEAUTIFUL!! :)

So pretty, Miriam! Love your tall card layout. My husband's mother was from KS and he spent many a summer vacation there.
