Serendipity Stamps - HOT! HOT! HOT!

The Serendipity Stamps Blog Challenge  has a new challenge for July to use TWINE! You have until August 4 to play.

The Design Team has added a "HOT" theme as part of the challenge this week but you only need to use twine to play along.  HOT can be the weather, heat embossing, hot colors etc! I chose the HOT colors of red, orange and yellow for my card.

Masking is the technique I used on this card.  I was so inspired by Julie Warner's Sunflower card shown HERE.  Her card just called out to me.
I used similar colors and the Sunflower stamp.

I made a mask with a Post-it note and stamped the flower over and over.

Here is my image before coloring.

I used the black and white twine from The Twinery to make my triple bow.  They have a great assortment of colors and styles.

Inside I stamped another flower and colored it up.  I didn't use a sentiment so I can choose one later for whatever occasion comes along.
The finished size is an A-2.

Serendipity still has the 50% Off Wood Clearance Sale, lots of $1 stamps, and Clearance stamps.

Check out what the rest of the Design Team created!

I was thinking what Marbeth said in a comment above me...It sure looks like it was a lot of work. but the results with this card are sure worth it. I've done masking but never this much...but you sure have inspired me to give your technique a try. Thanks for the inspiration.
