Shades of Grey is the new monthly challenge over at the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog! I've always loved a black and white combo so this one wasn't too hard for me. I made a matching envelope for my card with my Envelope Punch Board.
To start I used an Anna Griffin die to cut a black and a white layer. Then I cut the white layer in two down the middle and glued it off-center to the back of the black one. It makes for a nice highlight. I used another die to cut a hole in the white card layer and put foam tape behind it.
This picture shows the window. The die cut is glued flat and the sentiment layer has foam tape behind it. This sentiment is my absolute favorite quote from many years ago. When I asked Mary of Serendipity Stamps to make it into a stamp, she did! And, the font is just right.
My finished card is 5 x 6 3/4.

So many layers on your card Miriam it's absolutely stunning. I loved reading about the quote and feel like I'm getting to know everyone a little better today.
Beautiful, Miriam! I love all the elegant layers and flourish. And your favorite quote is lovely. I think I need that one!
Beautiful Miriam, I love the detail on the die and the two look beautiful together. Mary is so sweet to make a stamp of your favorite quote.
