Origami Box - Serendipity Stamps

This week's Design Team challenge from Serendipity Stamps is to create a project from the Scor-Pal project web page.  I thought this Origami box was so cute I just had to make it! The finished size of the box is about 3 inches square.
Here is the box with one side open, one side closed.  The little black cone where the dragonfly sits is made with a flat round die cut, slit to the middle and glued with the scallops overlapping.  Only one side of the cone is glued to the box.

Here are two more views of the box open.

Mary at Serendipity is giving away a Scor-it Board (not a Scor-Pal) to one lucky winner! Just visit each Design Team member’s site and leave a comment on each one to be in the running.

In addition to giving away the Scor-It, this week’s sale at Serendipity Stamps is Free Shipping on US orders over $10.  Only $10!   What a bargain!!!
The sale starts on Oct 3rd and goes through Oct 10th.

  • Stamps: Serendipity Stamps - Floral Dragonfly Stamp & Die Set 1256DCL

This is such an intricate project...I love the way you popped up the dragonfly on the cone, your photographs are so detailed, I can totally picture how to make one of these. Great job and the perfect patterned paper to go with the origami themed box.

Wow, this is fabulous. I admire the talent to 'see' what the finished object will look like and then take the necessary steps to get you to that point. TFS
