Serendipity Stamps - Garden

The challenge for the Design Team this week from Serendipity Stamps is Garden.  I had this lovely violet stamp and thought it would be good for this challenge so I made 2 cards.
For the first card I wanted to use my new ink pad, Espresso Truffle, which is darker than Rich Cocoa and a bit lighter than black.  It was tricky to get my violets to match my paper so after coloring them with V22 -25 I added a layer of V12. The leaves were colored with YG63.
Finished size is 5 x 6 1/4.

  • Stamps: Serendipity Stamps - Large Violets - 431L
  • Ink: Memento - Espresso Truffle
  • Paper: Neenah Classic Crest - Natural White, Memory Box - Viola 6x6, SU! Elegant Eggplant & Black
  • Spellbinders: Grand Classic Ovals
  • Other: SU! Certainly Celery ribbon, Basic Grey - Bling lavendar rhinestones, Perfect Layers, Martha border punch, Copics, misc butterfly bead

Since I put the violets in such a fancy frame I wanted to keep the image simple.  I stamped it in green to match the paper and just colored the leaves a little with G40.  Finished size is 5 3/4 x 6 3/4.

Check out what the rest of the design team made:
