This week's challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Show is to create a Tim Holtz style tag. I made this one during the first 12 days of December when Tim was posting his daily tags. I had the tree cut from last years tag making so that saved me a step. After painting it with acrylic paint, I applied Rock Candy Crackle paint and let it dry.
I stamped and applied Distress Inks to a manila tag and added the homemade banner and the tree. Finishing it off is the bottom trim cut from the Seasonal paper pad, border punched and a few copper brads for accents.
- Stamps: Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Collection - Holiday Wishes (music), Clear Stamps- Tim's Merry Christmas CSS31680 (sentiment & holly)
- Ink: Versafine - Onyx Black & Smokey Gray, Distress Inks: Stormy Sky, Iced Spruce, Peeled Paint, Frayed Burlap
- Paper: Tim Holtz 12x12 Paper Stash - Seasonal, Grungeboard, manila tag
- Other: Distress Crackle Paint - Rock Candy, Christmas Muse metal tag, pin, seam binding, twine, copper brads, Pinetree Die, Tim's Design Ruler, SU! border punch, brown pearls

This is fabulous, Miriam! Your tree is just wonderful with the acrylic paint and crackle paint. And I love your handmade tattered banner. Beautiful color palette too!
So great to have you joining in the fun over at Simon Says Stamp and Show!
Hi Miriam! I LOVE your Christmas tag. The monotone green them with then the pop of the "MERRY CHRISTMAS" banner really works! It's a beautiful tag with wonderful die cuts and inking. I love it! Thanks for joining us at Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge. <3 Candy
